IRAIS Annual Conference on Information Systems

The third IRAIS Annual Conference in Information Systems (IRAIS 2025) will focus on addressing the pressing challenges and opportunities surrounding artificial intelligence, digital platforms, healthcare, and cybersecurity.
We are thrilled to announce that submissions for the third IRAIS Annual Conference are now open. This year’s conference will focus on pressing issues in relation to Artificial Intelligence, Digital Platforms, Healthcare, and Cybersecurity, among others. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with cutting-edge research, practical implications, upcoming research areas, and collaborative workshops designed to encourage discussion and innovation. Our conference will host two distinguished thought leaders from both industry and academia, who will share their insights and expertise on such pressing issues. Mark your calendars for an event where scholars and practitioners come together to explore how emerging technologies are transforming our world.
The conference is open for submissions in the form of extended abstracts, which will undergo a peer review process. Successful submissions will be published by the Association for Information Systems (AIS) eLibrary and indexed by Google Scholar. Check the important dates and instructions below.
The conference will take place virtualy via Zoom.

Kamran Elahian is the Co-founder and Chairman of INNOVER.AI, where he advises senior executives on building innovation ecosystems. As a tech entrepreneur, he has co-founded ten companies, achieving six successful exits, including three unicorn IPOs with a combined market cap of over $8 billion. He also served as Chairman of Global Catalyst Partners; a $350 million venture capital firm that saw a fourth unicorn IPO valued at $4 billion. Driven by his belief in the power of digital technologies to bridge global divides, Kamran co-founded Schools-Online, which connected 6,400 schools across 36 countries. He also established the Global Catalyst Foundation and served as Co-Chair of UN-GAID, a United Nations forum promoting digital infrastructure in developing nations.
Varun Grover is a Distinguished Professor and the George & Boyce Billingsley Endowed Chair at the Walton College of Business, University of Arkansas. Over his 30+ year career, he has consistently been ranked among the top five researchers globally, based on his publications in top journals (>400), citations (>62,000), and h-index (of 106). He has received numerous awards for teaching and research on IT/digitalization business impacts, served multiple terms as Senior Editor of premier IS journals like MISQ and JAIS, and played significant roles like Conference, Program, and Doctoral Consortium Co-Chair at ICIS and AMCIS conferences. He is an AIS Fellow and LEO recipient for lifetime achievement.

We also welcome submissions that address a wide range of topics related to information systems. We are particularly interested in papers that explore the intersection of information systems with other fields such as operation management, computer science, and social sciences.
Submission Guidelines
- Submissions must be in the form of extended abstracts (complete papers and research-in-progress are welcome).
- Submissions must be no more than two (2) pages, references included.
- Submissions must be in English.
- Papers should be formatted in accordance with the specified format and guidelines in our submission template (click here to download).
Evaluation Criteria
- Originality of the research
- Relevance to the conference theme
- Methodology used
- Quality of writing
Conference Registration
The conference will be free to attend (no registration fee) for all and is not exclusive to the members of the IRAIS community. Everyone is welcome to submit their extended abstracts and/or attend the conference. Please use the link below to register for the conference to receive an invitation to the online event.
