The 4th Annual IRAIS Conference on Information Systems (IRAIS 2026) was successfully held on Saturday, July 25, 2026. The conference brought together scholars, doctoral students, researchers, and industry leaders for an inspiring day of research presentations, professional dialogue, and community engagement.
This year’s conference theme, “Responsible Digital Futures: AI Governance, Resilience, and Sustainability,” reflected the growing importance of responsible technology development and use in organizations and society. The conference provided a platform for discussing how emerging digital technologies, especially artificial intelligence, are reshaping organizations, healthcare systems, cybersecurity practices, digital platforms, and broader social and economic environments.
IRAIS 2026 featured a keynote presentation by Dr. Rajiv Sabherwal from the University of Arkansas. His participation added significant academic value to the conference and contributed to the broader discussion on responsible digital futures and Information Systems research.
The conference also included an industry panel featuring Aras Sheikhi, CEO of JANUS Innovation Hub, and Nellie Akalp, CEO of CorpNet. The industry panel connected academic research with practice and highlighted important perspectives on innovation, entrepreneurship, digital transformation, and the practical challenges of emerging technologies.
The conference was led by the Conference Co-Chairs, Niam Yaraghi from the University of Miami and Hamed Qahri-Saremi from Colorado State University. Their leadership and guidance were central to the successful organization of the event.
The conference program was coordinated by Sara Memarian from the University of Texas at Tyler and Kasra Dolatkhahi from the University of Memphis. Their efforts supported the planning, communication, scheduling, and smooth execution of the conference program.
IRAIS 2026 also benefited from the contributions of the track chairs, including Reza Mousavi, Mahyar Sharif Vaghefi, Moez Farokhnia, Forough Shadbad, Mohsen Foroughifar, and Tala Mirzaei. Their service helped support the review and organization of conference submissions across the Artificial Intelligence, Healthcare Analytics, Cybersecurity, and General Information Systems tracks.
Throughout the day, presenters shared research addressing important topics in artificial intelligence, healthcare analytics, cybersecurity, digital platforms, online behavior, AI governance, and organizational technology use. The conference created opportunities for meaningful discussion, feedback, and collaboration among scholars at different career stages.
IRAIS extends its sincere appreciation to all keynote speakers, panelists, conference chairs, program coordinators, track chairs, presenters, doctoral students, reviewers, volunteers, and attendees who contributed to the success of IRAIS 2026.
